Her artistic approach is rooted in exploring her Iranian heritage and her desire to share voices often silenced. She feels a deep connection with Iranian poetesses who, despite the restrictions and threats of their time, managed to leave a valuable legacy through their writings. Her intention is to celebrate their resilience and create a space where these voices can be heard by a wider audience. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After her studies at the \u00c9cole sup\u00e9rieure de th\u00e9\u00e2tre de l\u2019UQAM, Ahlam explored themes such as the emancipation of women and the quest for identity, notably in \u2018\u2019L\u2019Ombre\u2019\u2019, a collective creation directed by Marie Brassard. The poems are taken from The Mirror of My Heart, A Thousand Years of Persian Poetry by Women, translated from Farsi into English by Dick Davis. The purpose of this project is to bring these poems together in the form of a collage, integrating Iranian song and original writings to tell a fictional story. The project pays tribute to the richness of Persian culture, while exploring profound themes such as women&#8217;s emancipation, the quest for identity, resistance against oppression, and collective memory.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div><\/div><!--close column table wrapper.
