Guillaume B.B

Guillaume B.B. works mainly with performance art and installations. Her collaborative and solo work has been presented in various venues and festivals (L’Écart, OFFTA, Fonderie Darling, RIPA – rencontre interuniversitaire de performance actuelle, Festival d’art performatif de Trois-Rivières, Axenéo 7). She has also presented her work in various alternative spaces where she explores the medium of performance art, with its potential for imposture and healing. Her proposals deploy indisciplinary performative gestures where theatricality, irony and speech appear as key materials. In an abundance of object-gestures, she creates spaces within which the public can experience nonsense; an eruption of possible alterations to normative identifications. More recently, she has been developing a D.I.Y visual, textual and sonic lexicon that refers directly to science fiction, invested in an iconographic and philosophical research on non-human life forms and speculative narratives.
