MISSION
LA SERRE is a structuring incubator that supports emerging artists in the development and establishment of their artistic practices. It offers initiatives conducive to their visibility; takes care of its community, and offers inspiring spaces.
ARTISTIC ORIENTATION
LA SERRE supports emerging artists by creating lasting and invested connections with them. It enables artists to create and share performances that shift the perspectives of spectators and explore new ways of being together. The practices supported by LA SERRE question, transform and resist preconceptions, let pluralities unfold, and contribute to the renewal of established models. LA SERRE activate collaborations between artists, citizens, fields of knowledge, and artistic disciplines.Its support is experimental and multifaceted.

VISION
To embody a beacon fostering the development of new voices in the performing arts within a context of experimental, vibrant, and healthy practices, recognized locally, nationally, and internationally; with specific interest for establishing a fruitful relationship between the live arts community and society at large.
Co-founded by Jasmine Catudal and Vincent de Repentigny, LA SERRE originated from the essential need to rethink live arts creation and production support structures. It is an offshoot of the OFFTA festival, a defining arts event founded in 2007 that has become essential to ensure the vitality of the local live arts ecosystem. For over ten years, OFFTA has participated to the decompartmentalization of artistic disciplines and audiences, as well as to the promotion of over 600 emerging artists on the local, national and international levels. In 2015, in the framework of sustainable development and with the goal of better serving its community with its expertise, networks and tools, OFFTA changed its name and broadened its mandate to become LA SERRE – arts vivants.

Each year, the OFFTA, a festival of the performing arts, could not take place without the team of dedicated volunteers who become part of the festival community and contribute to its renewed success.
Being a volunteer at the OFFTA is an opportunity to see the shows in the program, to discover the backstage of the festival and to get actively involved in the performing arts local scene by joining a dynamic team.

When you arrive in front of the Centre de psychologie Gouin (whose address is 39A. Gouin Blvd. West), you have to go past the Center and turn right to go behind the building by taking the small alley. You will arrive in the inner courtyard where the entrance door to the LA SERRE spaces is located.

LA SERRE – arts vivants is committed to protecting your personal information. This privacy policy is part of that commitment.

LA SERRE – arts vivants collects personal information (e.g. contact information, purchase history, etc.) about ticket buyers, artists, members, donors and other individuals who may be interested in the organization.
LA SERRE – arts vivants uses this personal information to better serve its artists and audiences and to expand its community. This primarily includes:
- Mailings (postal or electronic) and telephone calls to provide information about current or upcoming activities;
- Mailings (postal or electronic) and telephone calls to provide information about tickets, memberships and donations;
- Mailings (postal or electronic) and telephone calls to thank donors and issue tax receipts;
- Mailings (postal or electronic) and telephone calls to invite members and donors to special events;
Mailings (postal or electronic) and telephone calls to sell tickets and solicit donations.
LA SERRE – arts vivants is committed to using personal information in a respectful and useful manner. If an individual requests that their personal information not be used for any of the purposes listed above, or for any other reason, the request will be honoured. The individual’s account will be updated accordingly.
LA SERRE – arts vivants compiles information related to www.laserre.ca, such as the number of page views and other useful traffic information, in order to improve the design and content of the website. This information does not, however, allow website users to be identified.

The consent required for the collection, use or disclosure of personal information varies depending on the circumstances and the type of personal information collected. After appropriately verifying your identity, LA SERRE – arts vivants may provide you with a list of the personal information it holds in your file, in accordance with applicable law.
