Mara Dupas

Mara Dupas is a dance artist who grew up in a multicultural family between Quebec and France. They collaborate as a performer with various artists, develop their own choreographic signature and have a writing practice. The experiences of Afro-descendant people, the construction of gender identity, and the relationship between body and environment are among the interests that fuel their reflections. Mara’s approach is guided by the desire to create bridges between Afro-Creole dances, literature, and contemporary dance.
