Ahlam Gholami

As a multidisciplinary artist, Ahlam combines theater, cinema, and vocal expression to tell stories. Her artistic approach is rooted in exploring her Iranian heritage and her desire to share voices often silenced. She feels a deep connection with Iranian poetesses who, despite the restrictions and threats of their time, managed to leave a valuable legacy through their writings. Her intention is to celebrate their resilience and create a space where these voices can be heard by a wider audience.

After her studies at the École supérieure de théâtre de l’UQAM, Ahlam explored themes such as the emancipation of women and the quest for identity, notably in ‘’L’Ombre’’, a collective creation directed by Marie Brassard. Her current project is a peaceful act of resistance in favor of the rights of Iranian women, with the aim of eliciting empathy from the Quebec public and sharing stories that transcend cultural boundaries.
