Alexia Vinci

Alexia Vinci is a multidisciplinary Mi’gmaw artist from Gespeg of Italian and Québécois heritage. Trained as an actor, she also works as a creator and improviser. She has participated in several performances (VOUS ÊTES ICI, Furies Festival) and theatre productions (Duceppe, 2023–2026). In May 2026, she completed her residency at the National Theatre School of Canada, where she specialized in directing.

A spoken-word artist, Alexia plays with the sound and poetry of words, but it is through physical work that they take on meaning. Dialogue, encounters, and collective experiences are at the heart of her approach. She revisits our relationship to time in search of a state of total presence, and, attentive to gestures and their symbolism, develops a form of art in which the sacred finds its place. Her interest extends to all our relationships, particularly our relationship with the land, and she seeks to connect us to it, taking the time to make us feel each sensation in this encounter.
