Philippe Dépelteau

Philippe Dépelteau is a creator, dramaturg and performer in contemporary dance. His artistic practice offers dialogues and playgrounds to explore ecological issues. Through art, he wants to make the climate crisis visible on a human scale.
From 2019 to 2021, he developed an eco-social performative approach with Lauranne Heulot, through the project Ni d’Ève, ni d’Adam. Thanks to LA SERRE – arts vivants’ nomad residencies of , he began the creation of Les briques in 2022.
Using listening as a practice, Philippe tries to find meaning in what is already there. Through his artistic work, he creates forms that propose to imagine and dream, starting from what is already present.

Les Briques

Les briques is a performative installation currently being created by Philippe Dépelteau,. Guided by the articulation of transient structures, the experience offers a singular perspective on our obsession to build, and its associated ruins. Close to collapsing, dancing bricks and bodies try to establish a dialogue. How can we take care of the ruins we inhabit? What relationships do we build with the territory over time?
