Intersectoral green space

Having recently moved to Ahunstic, LA SERRE is now hosted in one of the annexes of the Centre de Psychologie Gouin (CPG), benefiting now for a space that responds to the organization’s needs. Considering this new space, LA SERRE and the CPG have joined forces to establish a new network between the arts and care practices, which will be developed in three axes: COHABIT, COLLABORATE, SHARE. By providing the live arts community with a unique space in the Montréal/Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang landscape, LA SERRE is working to develop a context within which we can rethink society, where fruitful discussion can happen, and where all types of knowledge can be shared.

The COHABIT axis will be activated by both LA SERRE and the CPG by developing a third, hybrid space outside, aiming to bring together artists, workers, communities and patients. This green space will be a meeting place to work on new collaborations between the two organizations. It will contribute to the improvement of the working conditions of the artists in residency at LA SERRE, but also the workers of both organizations, by providing them with a stimulating environment. This axis aims to expand gestures of care through a space dedicated to experimentation and common activities.

A collaborative committee brings together neighbors and community members for both organizations.
