Crossed residency Morocco/Montreal
L’Atelier de l’Observatoire x LA SERRE
In order to promote the circulation of ideas and practices, LA SERRE is a host for residency exchanges with many local, national and international collaborators.
These exchanges allow for local emerging artists to meet with various artistic communities across territories, and, reciprocally, for national and international artists to develop lasting links with the Montréal/Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang live arts context. Taking place at many different moments every year, these exchanges create a fruitful discussion within our communities, while contributing to artistic collaborations. They are offered to artists supported in the Creation + Research program at LA SERRE.
Based in Casablanca, L’Atelier de l’Observatoire is an art and research space that develops participatory and socially engaged projects that bring together artists, students, researchers and locals. It is a space that experiments with alternative presentation approaches: gatherings, research, workshops, exhibitions, educational programs, film restoration, archiving, production and publications. Its programs allow for the circulation of non-dominant knowledge and ideas. Specifically, L’Atelier promotes the emergence of artistic and community-based projects in the public space.
