By combining different forms of artistic practices, does the choreographic mind manifest itself differently? By exploring visual and performative elements, it is an opportunity to cultivate, and share encompassing stories. The work is developed in-depth, and timely on societal, political, racial, and identity subjects. It is created considering layers, spatial awareness, patterns, purposefulness, and functionality, drawing from sensory experiences, spiritual connections, Women, and Black People’s ritualistic stories. The quest is to create experiences based on trusting to find a personal order in the disorder and pushing mental and physical boundaries, elevating to a better self each time.

The question of identity, and retracing identities linked to ancestral ties. How much do we remember our past lives? How much of what’s ingrained in the body is learned behavior? How much is a memory of what our ancestors have left us with? How one’s dance practice defines my dance identity, which is also defined by the hours spent repeating movements. Repeating and applying is the motto. Although now there’s a desire to remember what has been forgotten while repeating and applying. Remembering is at the forefront, and only then I can start repeating and applying again. A cycle of life. The effort is now to construct by piecing together these memories, repeating, and applying the process. Presented under the forms of distinct, striking ‘capsules’ this new work explores the broad question of identity while digging into what forms our ever-changing identities. An analog interpretation of what dance has become to me, demonstrating the connection to the past, the discovery, the learning, the practice, the understanding, and the transference. The documentation of the Remember, apply, repeat, ritualistic practice. A digital exploration into the experimental, abstract, expression of what dance can be, in the form of a hyper-stimulated sensory installation.
