Éclots
1st edition 24.06.08
In the heart of Ahuntsic, Éclots is a spring celebration presenting the vibrant artistic processes hosted at LA SERRE during the past season. Quietly tucked into a residential neighborhood, a lively hub of creativity hosts projects year-round, eager to be shared and enjoyed. Under the sun, 6 short artistic performances spring forth from unique locations: parking lots, offices, and gardens!
Storytelling, poetry, DJ sets, and lemonades complete the celebration.
For the joy of meeting or reuniting; neighbors, friends, and families are all invited!
An event presented in partnership with the Centre de psychologie Gouin, produced by La SERRE – arts vivants, with the support of Fond signature métropole, Conseil des arts de Montréal and the Caisse Desjardins du Centre-nord de Montréal.
Schedule
2:30pm – Opening
For the past 2 years, LA SERRE and the Gouin Psychology Center have partnered to establish a unique network around art and care. Through their exchanges, the partners together envision the development of a green space conducive to the growth of collaborative initiatives and open to neighboring communities, LA SERRE’s artists, and patients.
3pm – Tout ce que j’ai ramassé – A Little Story For Everyone
Hoda Adra
Aligned with the storytelling project “Pousses et conte” led at the Gouin Psychology Center, in collaboration with Le Petit Sentier kindergarden, Hoda creates a story. Inviting us into her inventive world through poetry, voice, and drawing, Hoda Adra tells the story of plants, people, and unidentified earthly objects (“otnis”) she encounters by the shoreline.
An activity accessible to all, from 3 to 103 years old
This activity is offered in french
16pm – Ce que nous plantons – Opening Poem
Alexia Vinci
Artist Alexia Vinci, actress, creator, and improviser from the Mi’kmaq nation of Gespeg, has contributed to the conceptualization of this space. We welcome her sharing in the form of a poem about what has been planted, in the spirit of celebrating germination and life. Alexia invites us to take the time to give thanks, to connect with the land and its teachings.

16:30pm – Performances
Hoda Adra + Projet Alterdogs (Claire Pearl et Léonie Bélanger) + Nindy Banks + DADA + Peng Hsu + Mycelium + Mithra « Myth » Rabel + Alexia Vinci
Six artists with unique approaches engage in the challenge of creating a short piece in just a few days. Exploring spaces in innovative ways, their undisciplined proposals unfold beyond the studios of LA SERRE, onto balconies, windows, tennis courts, and gardens. On the program are: choreographic experiments that explore space and time, enchanting theatrical eco-romances, and the thrill of movement; an irresistible concoction!
19h30 – Party + DJ
G Mako
To end the evening in jubilation, G Mako offers a set at dusk.
