Residencies
Located in the Ahuntsic neighborhood, LA SERRE’s studios provide an environment conducive to reflection and creation. Resident artists have access to two weeks of residency in the large studio, a flexible bank of hours in a second space, continuous access to the coworking space, and a writing room. This modular structure adapts to the unique temporalities of each project, fostering an environment that supports the exploration and deepening of their creative processes.
Structural Support: Semi-Structurings & Individual Support
To address the organizational challenges faced by artists, LA SERRE offers structured support on two forms. Semis-Structurants, held three times a year, provide days combining administrative work sessions, mentoring, collaborative workshops, and collective moments. These gatherings offer an opportunity to share tools, exchange knowledge, and create a supportive network between artists and cultural workers. In parallel, individual support is provided, focusing on aspects such as production, administration, and strategic development to foster the full growth of the artists’ projects.
Shares: Dramaturgical Exchange Space
The Radial Residencies are marked by moments of Sharings, a fertile ground for dialogue on dramaturgical questions. Each resident artist is invited to share a nourishing activity – workshop, discussion, reading, or residency outing – with their peers. These sessions, spread over four key moments during the year, encourage the circulation of ideas and the intersection of practices.
